Mike lebt und arbeitet seit über 20 Jahren in Istanbul . Die Liebe zum Laufen begann in den 90iger Jahren . Es zieht ihn zu seinen Läufen immer wieder in die USA, Westeuropa und nach Asien , wo Er in diesem 2007 den Marathon in Dubai und Bombay bestritt . Waren es zum Anfang teilweise nur höchstens 2 Marathonläufe im Jahr so hat sich das seit ca. 2000 total verändert und nach nun 15 Jahren intensiver Lauferei haben sich etwa 100 Marathonläufe und 65 Ultra-Marathons angesammelt . Höhepunkte sind die drei erfolgreich beendeten Deutschlandläufe 2005, 2006 und 2007 , 2 x Isarrun , 5 x Biel , 24 Std-Läufe in Wörschach usw.
